The cry of Snufflebeak gulls, wheeling and cawing, chasing scraps from heavily laden trawlers. The distant rumble of the fish cannery, belching steam ever skywards, and above it all, spilling from cafes and bars - muted and then louder as doors spill open - the ever present sound of Houndskiffle. The thwang of a three string Trumanean Bass, the subtle, but penetrating sound of a Thrummer Five String, and the jangle of an Alveridgean Overslung Piano.
On their own - good. Together and played with the skill and probity of years at sea - outstanding.
